Gypsy Rose Blanchard was stopped at the Los Angeles International Airport and asked if she had any advice for Erik and Lyle Menendez, who might be released from prison soon

Gypsy Rose Blanchard had some advice for Erik and Lyle Menendez as their case is reportedly being reevaluated.

The Menendez brothers were recently given a court hearing set for November after alleged new evidence has come forward. The brothers, who have been in prison for over 30 years for the 1989 murder of their parents Kitty and Jose Menendez, are hoping to be released soon.

Erik and Lyle’s case has become popular recently after Ryan Murphy adapted their story for Netflix in Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story. Paparazzi caught Gypsy Rose and her boyfriend Ken Urker as they checked in for a Southwest Airlines flight at Los Angeles International Airport and asked about Gypsy Rose’s thoughts on the brother’s released.

In a video shared on TMZ, the person behind the camera asked Gypsy Rose what she knew about the Menendez brothers. “Not a whole lot I’m not very educated in their case or anything,” she admitted.

The man then gave a brief overview of the case, sharing that the brothers claimed they murdered their parents after suffering sexual, physical, and mental abuse. He then asked if Gypsy Rose supported their release.

“I really can’t speak on the specifics of that,” she said, “I will say that I remain an advocate for abuse victims in general and I’m all about prison reform.”

She added: “If their case is being reviewed hopefully something can be done. I think that abuse victims need to be advocated for.”

Gypsy Rose commented she thought it was “awesome” that Kim Kardashian is supporting the brothers’ release. “Kim is a wise woman she makes good decisions,” she said.

The formally incarcerated 33-year-old had some advice for the brothers if they get out, as she was released on parole last December after being involved in the murder. “It’s very difficult to come out to a world that has changed so much even in the time that I spent,” she said.

She advised the brothers: “Reacclimating is a difficult thing so I’d say take your time and adjust properly and get therapy because you’ll need it.”
