“Temporary” was featured on Eminem’s latest studio album, ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)’
Eminem‘s new music video will surely tug at the heartstrings.
On Thursday, Oct. 3, the rapper released a heartfelt music video for his song “Temporary,” which is dedicated to his now 28-year-old daughter Hailie Jade Scott.
The five-minute music video features old photos and footage of Hailie Jade — whom he welcomed with ex Kim Scott at age 23 in 1995 — growing up. In the end, she reveals to Eminem that she’s pregnant.
In “Temporary,” Eminem, 51, says that his biggest fear is “not being able to say all the things I wanna say to you when I’m no longer here” — so he does just that.
The song, which features vocals by Skylar Grey, was included in Eminem’s latest studio album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).
Between the sweet moments as a young girl to the emotional exchanges on her wedding day, here’s all the never-before-seen moments in the “Temporary” music video.
The father-daughter photo slideshow
In the first 30 seconds of the music video, photos of Hailie Jade as a little girl flash on the screen.
The photos range from baby pictures, to father-daughter shots, to silly moments throughout her childhood.
Later in the video, Eminem shares footage from simple moments with Hailie Jade — like her dancing, falling on a snowboard, in class, on her birthday and graduation day.
