Whoopi Goldberg fired back at Donald Trump after he told supporters at a recent rally that he would never hire Goldberg because her comedy act is filthy dirty and disgusting (via Entertainment Weekly). Goldberg and her co-hosts on The View trolled Trump by walking out during the Oct. 10 episode of their daytime talk show to Christina Aguileras hit song Dirrty.
So, we walked out to Dirrty by Christina Aguilera, because its one of the words that You-Know-Who used when he was talking about me, in particular, but he was talking about us at his rallies, Goldberg said.
Trump was at a campaign event in Reading, Pennsylvania when he called The View hosts really dumb people. The show recently welcomed Kamala Harris as an interview guest. Trump then remembered hiring Goldberg once for a comedy event at one of his casinos, but he criticized her act for being filthy dirty and disgusting.
I was filthy, and stand on that fact. I have always been filthy, and you knew that when you hired me, Goldberg fired back. I headlined, babe, at your casino, which I mightve continued to play had you not run it into the ground. How dumb are you? You hired me four times.
You didnt know what you were getting? How dumb are you? Goldberg asked again.
The View co-host Sunny Hostin weighed in on Trumps diss by saying: Donald Trump I want to thank you for personally telling so many lies and committing so many alleged crimes and providing us with material on a daily basis. You help us do our jobs, and Im so appreciative.
Goldberg concluded her pushback against trump by noting that he spent more time complaining about The View hosts than he did focusing on real issues facing the U.S. such as Hurricane Miltons destruction in Florida.
This is what irritated him, not whats going on. Hurricanes, all kind of stuff going on in our country, but we irritated him to the point where he had to admit he does watch the show, something we all knew, Goldberg said. So when you hear people say, I dont watch that show, theyre lying!
