Prince William supported Kate Middleton throughout her cancer treatment and one expert has now suggested he made a big change following his wife’s diagnosis.
The Princess of Wales released an emotional video back in March as she revealed she had been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer. Kate has since finished her chemotherapy treatment and has made a slow return back to her public duties.
William’s father King Charles has also been receiving treatment for cancer. Following Kate and Charles’ cancer diagnoses, body language expert Judi James said it seems as though the Prince of Wales has changed his priorities.

“William’s recent change of style and his much less cautious-looking and less formal body language seems to indicate both a growing confidence in terms of his stepping up to the throne and an update in his priorities since Kate’s and his father’s illnesses,” James told The Daily Mail.
William’s new style has involved him debuting a beard in August as he developed a more rugged look. He has also updated his wardrobe, opting for more casual looking clothes.
During a recent visit to the NFL Foundation, the Prince of Wales wore a slim-fit blazer and chinos and completed the look with a pair of white trainers. His appearance came after Kate shared a heartfelt video announcing she had finished her cancer treatment.
In the clip, the Princess of Wales said: “As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant, and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”
She continued: “The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.
“This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.”
Royal fans are now hoping to see Kate join the rest of the Royal Family for the annual Remembrance Sunday service. This will take place on November 10. Kate is also planning to host her annual Christmas concert.
