Loom didn’t have an easy start to life. Found alone in an attic, he required urgent care for his survival. A benefactor took care of him tirelessly and gave him a comfort blanket, which he never parted with.
Little Loom , a 5-week-old red tabby, was welcomed by Céline Crom , a volunteer foster family for the Chatons Orphelins Montréal association . Sick upon his arrival, he was cared for and pampered by his temporary mistress. During his recovery, a stuffed animal brought him a lot of comfort.
Loom had no brothers or sisters. In fact, someone spotted him in an attic with no siblings. His mother wasn’t around either. Concerned, she took him home to take care of him, but the condition of the furball deteriorated significantly over the days. The individual contacted Celine and her team for assistance.
An urgent situation
Loom grew weaker as the hours passed. Taken care of by rescuers, he was taken to the veterinarian for a thorough examination and treatment. He was very thin and suffered from stomach aches. Which gave him diarrhea and made him regurgitate. The benefactors made sure that he ate a little and hydrate to regain his strength. He was also medicated.
Celine took over and bottle-fed him 24 hours a day. She also made sure he didn’t get cold, wrapping him in big soft blankets. Loom finally showed signs of recovery: “ After 48 hours of intensive care, the little one regained his strength, and he started eating again on his own, ”
A kitten well in its paws
Loom was still in solitary confinement and could not meet the other residents of the house. But the kitten didn’t cope well with solitude, so Celine gave him a soft little stuffed animal. He immediately adored her, snuggling with her during his naps. With this blanket, he was no longer alone.
Besides, he will never be again, since a family officially adopted him shortly after his arrival. He has joined his home for life, in which he will not lack affection!
