Katie Holmes’ Paris Fashion Week Look: How to Steal Her Stylish, Weather-Ready Outfit

At this point, Katie Holmes has practically curated my entire closet — she’s my personal style muse.
Her outfit at Paris Fashion Week for the Zimmermann show on March 10 may be one of my all-time favorites: The Dawson’s Creek star wore a light buttery yellow short trench coat (probably from Zimmermann) that looks perfect for protecting against spring’s unpredictable showers, while also keeping my arms warm should the weather turn chilly.
To top off her enviable jacket, she paired it with matching yellow cargo pants. Not only did the color complement the coat, but the deep-pocket design made them the perfect substitute for a purse-free day.

Trench coats are the go-to pieces I envision chic Parisian women wearing on spring days, whether rainy or not — so naturally, I’m jumping on that bandwagon. Cropped trench coats are a celebrity favorite, as seen with Gwyneth Paltrow last fall, who paired hers with cargos as well.
I already have a cropped trench that I wore briefly during a vacation earlier this year but have otherwise been saving for spring. But now, I’m tempted to buy another one since I’m obsessed. This one is under $50, so I won’t feel guilty about buying a second version. The shorter length means it’s lighter and perfect for warmer weather. Plus, it comes with a belt, although I prefer wearing mine without.
These cargo pants feature a wide-leg silhouette, making them more relaxed and breezy — perfect for the Katie Holmes vibe. Though the color isn’t an exact match to hers, light beige is super versatile and goes with practically everything. Plus, the material looks thick enough to avoid any see-through mishaps. Oprah has been seen in similar cargo pants, too.
Katie’s bag is likely from Zimmermann (since she was at their show), but this Amazon lookalike is a great alternative. The brown color feels more wintery to me, and the adjustable strap allows you to wear it as a crossbody or shoulder bag. It’s functional and stylish, and it gets rave reviews from shoppers.
