A happy smile radiated from Fahri’s face. The reason is that children suffering from Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) have received attention from the government. Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Oded M. Danial, gave the Health Social Security Management Agency (BPJS) card directly to Fahri’s family at their home, Jalan Cipadung, yesterday (14/1).
Through the Bandung City Poverty Alleviation Coordination Team (TKPK), Oded accelerated the process of overcoming Fahri. According to Oded, he has instructed BPJS to make cards as soon as possible. “ Thank God , the card was ready quickly,” he said.
Oded said that his visit was a form of support for the person concerned and his family. In fact, he promised to provide special assistance for Fahri’s recovery. This also includes assistance for family independence.
Apart from that, Oded appealed to Bandung residents who are poor, to immediately report themselves to the local government. “So that we can fight for them to get BPJS,” he said.
Previously, Sri Nursani, Fahri’s parent, admitted that he had been assisted by the sub-district to arrange the requirements for making a BPJS card. The reason is, the requirement for making it is that you must attach a birth certificate. Meanwhile, Fahri does not yet have a birth certificate. “The NIK has just been created,” said Sani while showing a paper containing Fahri’s population data, last Tuesday (13/1).
After receiving a visit from the deputy mayor. Sri said that his party was grateful for the government’s attention to Fahri. He also hopes that his first son can get an education like other children.
Previously, Fahri’s companion from the Communication Forum for Concern for Marginal People (FKKOP) Asep Suhermin said that Fahri’s healing process had to be carried out quickly. However, he admitted that he often encountered procedural problems. “I’ve tried going to RSCM but I keep getting stuck at BPJS,” he said.
According to Asep, Fahri’s healing efforts are very important. Because his condition was getting worse. Some of the ribs are bent forward and backward. “He doesn’t move freely, because it hurts when he moves. “He also likes to feel short of breath,” said Asep.
