This unfortunate cat is named Bekaa and has become a victim of bullying just five days ago. Alva, a compassionate woman, came across Bekaa in a severely injured state, with a filthy body and unable to walk. Alva shared that she witnessed cruel children tormenting the cat and breaking its back. After driving the kids away, she captured this image and shared it on social media. She revealed that she had taken Bekaa in but the cat was now facing the risk of death due to paralysis.
The estimated medical bills for Bekaa’s treatment include surgery, approximately $1000, at least 4 months of physical therapy, around $1500, as well as costs for antibiotics, flea treatment, and spaying, totaling around $250. This is a substantial amount, and Alva does not have the means to afford it.
Therefore, the young girl made an urgent plea for assistance from those who came across her post. If not helped soon enough to undergo surgery, Bekaa will not be able to survive the critical condition. Fortunately, after five days of appeals, her post gained widespread attention and received numerous contributions.
Over half of the required funds have been raised, and Alva has decided to take the risk and proceed with the surgery for the cat. Bekaa has started receiving round-the-clock emergency medical care at the hospital and is preparing for the operation within the next seven days.
X-rays have revealed that her back is fractured. The surgery will only restore about 60% of her mobility, and she will require intensive physical therapy for several months to regain the remaining 40%. I feel incredibly joyful and grateful knowing that there are still many people who care and are willing to help these innocent animals.
