Three-year-old Willow, a rescue dog who suffers from a chronic skin condition which has made her hairless and will require ongoing supportive care, is currently in the care of Romania Project Manager, Jo – but she is looking for a forever home.
IAPWA says, “It’s not known whether she will ever grow a full coat back or not, however there has been a huge improvement in the general condition of her skin since she’s been in foster care. We are starting to see some patches of hair growth too and we are hopeful that this will continue to improve.
“Willow was initially very nervous when she arrived in foster care but has come on really well in the past few months, growing in confidence and letting her wonderful personality shine through. She is a very sweet, intelligent girl, enjoys human interaction and is very food motivated which means she is very trainable.”
She added, “The ideal home for her would be a calm, adult-only home with an enclosed garden. She loves to go on adventures but is equally happy when she’s curled up on the sofa! She is housetrained and can be left at home unsupervised without any issues.
“Although Willow has lived with other dogs in the past, she would be better suited to a home where she is the only dog and can have one-to-one interaction and attention from her owner. She hasn’t been tested with cats.”
