Tyler James Williams debuted a beefy new look on the Emmy‘s red carpet – and fans can’t get enough.
Despite the prestigious LA ceremony attracting a heap of A-listers like Jennifer Aniston, Idris Elba and Sofia Vergara, it was the The Abbott Elementary star, 31, who commanded all attention as he posed for cameras.
Dressed in a black Dolce & Gabbanna waistcoat and matching trousers, fans couldn’t help but notice his bulging biceps and brawny look – as well as an assertive new confidence.
With all the fanfare, lookers may have missed that the stud lost out on the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series award for the third year in a row, with the gong going to The Bear’s Ebon Moss-Bachrach.
Still, the actor – who plays awkward but endearing teacher Gregory Eddie on smash hit TV series Abbott Elementary – has won over a different crowd, with many admirers taking to X and Instagram to express their admiration for the star.

The Abbott Elementary star, 31, commanded all attention as he posed for cameras at the Emmys 2024
The Abbott Elementary star previously revealed that a producer once told him that he’d ‘probably never work again’ after Everybody Hates Chris, which ran from 2005 to 2009 (Williams pictured in 2005)
In a video of the star shared to Good Morning America‘s Instagram page, fans went wild over the look, including one person who said Tyler was ‘too fine’.
‘He’s a Handsome young man’ wrote another.
‘I feel like I’m being seduced and I’m not mad at it’ exclaimed one more.
Another person chimed: ‘I’ll eat him’.
In a hilarious nod to the famous Disney+ show and perhaps indicating they would look to have children with the actor, someone else wrote: ‘We gon [are going to] make our own elementary school’.
And referencing the very show that brought him to fame – Everybody Hates Chris – another declared: ‘Everybody craves Chris!’
Over on X, things got even hotter. One fan wrote: ‘I have never been the type to go “ooh look at his biceps” but Mr. Tyler James Williams is working it out just the right way. Hold on now!’
‘Right to bare arms: Al-ARM-ingly Fine’ joked another.
The actor – who plays awkward but endearing teacher Gregory Eddie on smash hit TV series Abbott Elementary – won over social media with his new brawny look (Pictured: Abbott Elementary stars Tyler James Williams as Gregory, Janelle James as Ava, Quinta Brunson as Janine, Sheryl Lee Ralph as Barbara, Chris Perfetti as Jacob, and Lisa Ann Walter as Melissa)

Someone else said: ‘Tyler James Williams looked delicious at the Emmys’.
And noticing his body’s artwork, one more said: ‘Tyler James Williams is so fine with that shoulder tattoo’.
The sudden attention on the actor is even more significant, as long before his reemergence on Abbott Elementary, some fans dubbed his looks ‘awkward’ and even ‘weird looking’.
He has also had to address speculation that he is gay, a rumour he put to bed last year.
In June 2023, he took to his Instagram Stories to clarify that he is ‘not gay‘ and labeled speculation about people’s sexuality as ‘dangerous.’
‘Usually I wouldn’t address stuff like this but I feel like it as a conversation is bigger than me. I’m not gay; but I think the culture of trying to “find” some kind of hidden trait or behavior that a closeted person “let slip” is very dangerous,’ he wrote.
Fans have taken to X and Instagram to express their admiration for the star
‘Overanalyzing someones behavior in an attempt to “catch” them directly contributes to the anxiety a lot of queer and queer questioning people feel when they fear living in their truth,’ the entertainer went on.
‘It makes the most pedestrian of conversations and interactions in spaces feel less safe in our gay brothers and sister and those who may be questioning.’
The Everybody Hates Chris star – who detailed his near-fatal battle with Crohn’s disease in January of this year – continued: ‘It also reinforces an archetype many straight men have to live under that is often times unrealistic, less free, and limits individual expression.’
‘I’ve been very clear about the intentionality I try to put into using my platform to push back against those archetypes every chance that I get,’ Tyler expressed in the second slide.
‘Being straight doesn’t look one way. Being gay doesn’t look one way,’ he stated before wishing his followers a Happy Pride Month.
‘What may seem like harmless fun and conversation may actually be sending a dangerous message to those struggling with real issues. I refuse to inadvertently contribute to that message.’
‘Happy Pride to all of my queer and questioning brothers, sisters, and individuals. I pray that you feel seen in ways that make you feel safe in the celebration that is this month.’
‘As an ally I continue to be committed to assisting in that where I can and helping to cultivate a future where we are all accepted and given permission to be ourselves,’ he concluded.
In March 2024, Williams confirmed that he was single during an interview with GQ. The actor has been mostly private about his dating life and has never confirmed any of his relationships, though he’s been linked to singer Karina Pasian and actress Anastasia Baranova in the past.
