In a recent interview with Extra, Donna shared her thoughts on her son’s newfound attention. “He’s always been one to be in the limelight,” she said. “He loves attention… he just loves life.” She noted that Travis seems to be on an upward trajectory, frequently making headlines for various reasons, whether on the golf course or attending concerts. “Every time I turn around, I’m seeing him doing something different… he’s just having his best life right now.”
However, the increased scrutiny also brings with it critical attention, especially given the massive spotlight on Swift. Despite this, Travis is focused on his performance. Through three games this season, he has recorded only 69 receiving yards on eight receptions, a drop from last season when he fell just short of 1,000 yards. He acknowledges the slow start but remains optimistic, emphasizing that he is his “own worst critic.”
“I think this year stats may say something different, but at the same time you’ll see the same person inside this building, and that’s all I really care about,” he told ESPN. He expressed confidence in quarterback Patrick Mahomes, believing that Mahomes will continue to make the right decisions on the field. “We might not be putting up as [many] points as we want to, but at the same time we’re 3-0 and we’re doing something right,” he said.
