Our society continually presents models of beauty based on rigid canons, which, however, are very often very far from reality. A woman’s body, in particular, changes with age and with life events, such as pregnancy . Having a child for a woman is a beautiful thing and has such a deep meaning that everything else is no longer important.
This is essentially the message that Brenda Stearns, mother of 5 , wanted to launch by publishing photos of her after the birth of her last child.

The story of how this large and beautiful family was born is incredible. Brenda is of Mexican origin, but a few years ago she moved to the United States. One day she dialed the wrong number on the phone and that’s how she met Isaiah, the one who later became her husband.
Brenda is becoming famous on Instagram for having published these beautiful photos in which she proudly shows her belly, marked by 5 pregnancies: “This is ᴘᴏsᴛᴘᴀʀᴛᴜᴍ”, read the signs that Brenda displays with her five children.
The couple’s first child was born in 2011, the second in the following year: both were ᴄᴀᴇsᴀʀᴇᴀɴ sᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴs, which is why Brenda has sᴄᴀʀs on her stomach. This did not stop her from giving birth to three more children, all by natural birth.
Brenda and her family now live in Ohio. This incredible mother said she sᴜꜰꜰᴇʀᴇᴅ from ᴘᴏsᴛᴘᴀʀᴛᴜᴍ ᴅᴇᴘʀᴇssɪᴏɴ after the birth of her fifth child and is also struggling to get back in shape. But then she understood the beauty of her motherhood, and that’s why she decided to tell it with these photos.
Here is Brenda with her husband and entire family. “The truth – she said – is that my body is strong and beautiful just like anyone else’s”.
Thanks to her example, Brenda is becoming an inspiration for all other mothers, so that they accept the ᴛʀᴀɴsꜰᴏʀᴍᴀᴛɪᴏɴ of their bodies and also the signs that a pregnancy can leave and understand that, in the end, having given life to a child is all that matters.
