Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs’ relationship with Kim Porter has come under scrutiny after the rapper was arrested last month on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering
Sean P Diddy Combs past relationship with his late ex-girlfriend Kim Porter is being more critically examined following his arrest on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, claims he has denied and pled not guilty to.
After Diddys ex-girlfriend, Cassie filed a damning sexual abuse lawsuit against him in November 2023, which kickstarted the onslaught of several lawsuits. Fan speculations surrounding Kim and the music moguls relationship also began to arise. Diddy has denied all of the allegations in Cassie’s lawsuit. Kim and the Bad Boy Records founder dated from 1994 to 2007, and together they share twin daughters DLila and Jessie and sons Christian and Quincy Brown. Although Quincy belongs to Kim and her ex-husband Al B. Sure!, Diddy adopted him as his own.
Given Kim and Diddy’s long history together, and allegations that Diddy is abusive, some internet sleuths began investigating whether or not Kim was on the other side of the rappers wrath.

A source who worked closely with Diddy and Kim professionally for many years recently opened up about what she believed their relationship to be like in a HOT 97 interview earlier this month. The whistleblowers comments with the news publication seemed to give an inside look into Diddy and Kims 13-year relationship.

I remember specifically how controlling he was over her, the insider recalled as they recalled a moment as they prepared for the 2003 MTV Awards red carpet. He literally was just sitting there, staring at her hair. He wasnt happy with itthe way the curl went one direction. He was like, I dont care if I miss the whole show. We are not leaving until we get this curl right. And inside, I was just like, Wow, you are really controlling. And those are just little signs.
The insider also described several instances of alleged domestic abuse that Kim went through at the hands of the chart-topping music artist.
I went to Atlanta when he had a new album coming out. One night we went to this nightclub, a pimp nightclub And when we were on our way there, all of a sudden they got into a fight, and he started hitting her with a bottle, and she threw a bottle back, the insider claimed. I remember thinking, Wow, shes really standing up for herself. Technically, I was witnessing this as an employee. Then Diddy turned to me and said, Oh, were just two, you know, loving each other. And I was thinking, Oh my God, but I just said, Oh, I didnt see anything. And then we walked into the club.
Additionally, the insider claimed that Kim had confided in her about a time when she had broken up with Diddy earlier in their relationship.
I remember she told me that when she had broken up with him earlier in their relationship, Diddy put her up in this apartment building on the Upper West Side. It was an old building. And she said her apartment was infested with rats, the insider alleged. She said she came home one day, tried to put her boots on, and there were rat feces in them. And she was just like, I gotta get out of this place.
