Actress Michelle Trachtenberg, 39 years old – famous for the movie ‘Gossip Girl’ – suddenly passed away in New York on February 26.
“It is with deep sadness that we confirm that Michelle Trachtenberg has passed away. The family requests privacy during this time of loss,” the actress’s publicist, Gary Mantoosh, told The Post on Wednesday.

Michelle’s mother discovered her daughter’s body at around 8 a.m. local time in her apartment at One Columbus Place, a 51-story luxury apartment complex in Manhattan’s Central Park South, according to sources. The New York Police Department said she was “unconscious and unresponsive” when officers and paramedics arrived. Michelle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of Michelle’s death has not yet been released, but sources say she had health issues. Page Six reports that Michelle had a liver transplant last year and that her body may have rejected the transplant.
