The husband-and-wife duo have always shared a passion for animals, and founded DogsnHomes Rescue together in 2019 with the aim to rescue dogs in Portugal and the UK, finding them loving homes. With war breaking out in Ukraine the charity, which , shifted its focus on as millions of Ukrainians were forced to flee and leave their pets behind.
DogsnHomes Rescue has now delivered over 150,000 kg of pet food, aid and medical supplies for cats and dogs. On one occasion, Gary and his team covered 2,740 miles in six days, delivering 9,000 kg of aid; on return trips, they have helped a number of refugees and their pets travel across Europe and to the UK.

As well as coordinating a network of rescues and partners to get supplies where they were most needed, DogsnHomes Rescue also took part to a large-scale mobile spay, neuter and microchip campaign. Another spay and neuter mission will start this August.
