Loving couple Kimberley and John Alarcon, 37 and 43, said they had always wanted to be parents, but never imagined they would one day be a family of 12. The family grew by two after the safe arrival of baby girls Kenzy and Kenzley last month [25 APRIL] via C-Sᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ – who are already adored by their older siblings Brittney, 17, Sarah, 13, Hunter, 10, ᴛᴡɪɴs Zoey and Zachary, six, ᴛᴡɪɴs Olivia and Oliver, four, and King, three.
Beautician Kimberley, from Wallkill, New York, USA, says she and her detective husband were in ‘ᴛᴏᴛᴀʟ ᴀᴡᴇ’ the first time she fell ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴛ ᴡɪᴛʜᴛᴡɪɴs, but never imagined it would happen two more times in just a few years. She said: “ᴛᴡɪɴs do run on my father’s side of the family. My aunt had multiples as well that were all natural. But I was completely surprised because it skipped generations and landed on me. I was in ᴛᴏᴛᴀʟ ᴀᴡᴇ ᴇᴠᴇʀʏ single time that I was told I was having ᴛᴡɪɴs. Every ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ after that, it was a bit of a gamble if it was going to be ᴛᴡɪɴs again. But I am truly grateful.”
She added: “Kenzy and Kenzley were actually ᴛʀɪᴘʟᴇᴛs, but we ʟᴏsᴛ one of the babies early on in the ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ , so the trio became a duo. I really had no time to process the ʟᴏss ᴏꜰ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʜɪʀᴅ baby because I had to put all of my focus in making sure that I wouldn’t lose the others. I was sʜᴏᴄᴋᴇᴅ when I found out I was pregnant again because we didn’t plan on more, we were content and passed our budget. But we are so blessed and happy with our big family.”
Alacron is no stranger to having a full house. Her mother had a total of 18 children — 10 biological and eight adopted. She told Today that they also had friends coming over to their home all of the time when she was growing up. She recalled: “Sometimes we had 30 kids over at once.” The mom has continued the tradition of having a house full of kids with her detective husband, who grew up with one brother and always wanted a big family.
Alacron introduced her newborn daughters on Instagram on Thursday, the day the family was slated to ʟᴇᴀᴠᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ʜᴏsᴘɪᴛᴀʟ. She shared a sweet photo of the girls fast asleep on a hospital bed wearing matching peach onesies. She wrote: “They are our last addition and made our tribe a solid 10. They were born 4/25/22. My very first ᴄᴇsᴀʀᴇᴀɴ. They were ʙʀᴇᴀᴄʜᴇᴅ and it was a difficult ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴄʏ but thank Gᴏᴅ that we made it.” The mom shared that Kenzy is older by three minutes, and she weighed 4 pounds, 15 ounces when she was born. Her little sister, Kenzley, was slightly heavier at 5 pounds, 9 ounces.
She continued: “Kenzy and Kenzley started their journey as a trio but ᴜɴꜰᴏʀᴛᴜɴᴀᴛᴇʟʏ ᴡʜɪʟᴇ ᴀᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ᴅᴏᴄᴛᴏʀ’s office I ᴍɪsᴄᴀʀʀɪᴇᴅ who I believe was my boy Kent. Gᴏᴅ gives us what he knows we can handle so yes we will love him and remember him.”
