Manhunt Underway After Shooting at Toronto Pub Leaves at Least 12 Injured

At least 12 people were injured in a shooting incident at a Toronto pub on Friday, March 7. The shooting occurred around 10:39 p.m. on Progress Avenue and Corporate Drive in the Scarborough district, according to Toronto Police.

Police confirmed on X that there were no life-threatening injuries. Among the victims, six sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to the hospital. The victims’ ages range from their 20s to 50s. No fatalities have been reported.

Authorities have launched a manhunt for three male suspects connected to the shooting. Police have not yet released their identities. An initial police report on X stated that one suspect was seen wearing a black balaclava and fleeing in a silver car.

Surveillance footage captured emergency responders assisting victims at the scene, with armed police securing the area. Reports from BBC News and NBC News confirm that the shooting took place inside the pub.

Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow addressed the incident on Facebook, expressing her concern: “I am deeply troubled to hear reports of a shooting at a pub in Scarborough. I have spoken to Chief Demkiw, who assured me that all necessary resources have been deployed.” She added that the investigation is ongoing and extended her thoughts to the victims and their families.
