Deion Sanders helped give a Colorado Buffaloes super-fan an experience shed never forget as Peggy Coppom, better known as Miss Peggy, celebrated her 100th birthday with Coach Prime, and even attended a press conference on stage with him.
Miss Peggy turned 100 years old on Saturday and was at Folsom Field not just to witness a big Buffs win over Utah Utes by a 49-24 margin but also to hear the entire stadium sing Happy Birthday to her.
The celebrations did not stop there as Sanders brought Miss Peggy to a media event with him, so she could talk to the press.
Its Miss Peggys 100th birthday, youre supposed to clap right now, and give her love, Sanders told the media before explaining to reporters what Miss Peggys fandom means to both the Buffs as a program and to him, personally.
This is a wonderful day. Its amazing that God would find two people from two different walks of life, two different generations, and bring them together as he has. Shes always greeted me with love, compassion, support, stability, and hope. And Im thankful to know her, Im thankful she can get to me anytime she desires to. And Im grateful to be celebrating her 100th with her.
Coach Prime continued: She is the epitome of CU Buffs, she is the epitome of Buffs Nation. She is the rock that holds us all together, and Im thankful to know her, I really I am. Thank you, Miss Peggy.

Miss Peggy could then be heard saying, Thank you, to Sanders. In response, the NFL legend told Miss Peggy he loves her to life, and she pulled him in for a hug before talking to the press herself.
The Colorado superfan told reporters that she hasnt even comprehended what happened Saturday when the stadium of Buffs fans sang for her in unison. But, I cried, Miss Peggy said.
I just thank God for my life and for all my friends, she added. Everything thats happened to me, I just wish my twin sister was here with me. It all started because we were twins and I cant deny that weve been loyal fans. I got all this attention for just having a good time. Its unbelievable.
Colorado is ranked second in the Big 12 Conference, and is on a tear having posted four wins in succession. It returns to the field Saturday, November 23 when it takes on Kansas at Arrowhead Stadium before a Friday, November 29, date with Oklahoma State Cowboys.
