Inside RHOBH Star Sutton Stracke’s Life as a Mom to Three
Sutton Stracke, known for her role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is not just a reality star but also a devoted mother to her three children—daughter Porter, 22, and sons Philip, 21, and James, 18. She shares them with her ex-husband, Christian Stracke, whom she was married to for 16 years before their divorce in 2016.
Despite her presence in the public eye, Sutton has largely kept her children out of the spotlight, though her two older kids have made occasional appearances on RHOBH. Initially, Christian was against their involvement in the show, which Sutton admitted was challenging. However, over time, her children have been more visible, particularly Porter.

Porter Stracke, 22
Born on May 4, 2002, Porter is Sutton’s eldest child. She graduated from William & Mary College in 2024 with a double major in French and history. After exploring various marketing internships during her college years, she decided to pursue law school and enrolled at Brooklyn Law School later that year, with plans to graduate in 2027.
Though she lives across the country for school, Porter has made occasional appearances on RHOBH. Sutton once described her as “soft-spoken” and a bit shy but noted that she enjoyed being part of the show when she did participate.
Philip Stracke, 21
Philip, born on December 31, 2003, is Sutton’s second child. He is currently a student at The Citadel Military College of South Carolina, pursuing a military education.
Sutton has spoken about Philip’s decision to attend military school, revealing that he once told her he wanted to join the army because he had grown up “too comfortable.” In response, she sent him to work in Georgia under extreme summer conditions. That experience led him to reconsider his path, and he ultimately decided on college instead.
Outside of school, Philip enjoys traveling with his mother. Sutton often shares their trips together, including a 2024 visit to Ireland, where he took her to his favorite breakfast spot in London before their departure.

James, Sutton’s youngest, was born on January 24, 2007. Unlike his siblings, he has stayed completely off RHOBH, though Sutton occasionally shares glimpses of their life together on social media.
During season 13 of RHOBH, Sutton revealed that Christian had considered moving James to London with him after receiving a promotion. However, they ultimately decided that James would remain with Sutton in Beverly Hills to finish high school.
Sutton has described James as independent and unapologetically himself. In one episode, her mother, Reba, affectionately called him “kind of weird but smart,” a comment Sutton later brought up to James during Thanksgiving. When she asked if Reba stood by her statement, she doubled down, saying, “Well, James, you are weird.” Sutton laughed it off, explaining that James does what he wants without worrying about others’ opinions—something her mother does as well.
Beyond school, James enjoys traveling and dining with his mom. In early 2024, Sutton posted a beachside photo from a trip to Cabo San Lucas with James and his friends. Later that year, she shared a dinner moment with him in New York City, enjoying a meal of moules frites and mousse au chocolat.
