Donald Trump is set to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at Trump Tower today, following an earlier cancellation of their meeting. The confirmation came after Zelensky’s discussions with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday. Zelensky indicated that he would present his “victory plan” to Trump, which he also shared with Biden and Harris. He emphasized their shared belief that the war in Ukraine must end, stating, “Putin can’t win and Ukrainians have to prevail.”
In the meeting, Trump asserted that if he were to be elected in November, he could negotiate a resolution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict even before taking office in January 2025.
Meanwhile, on the campaign trail, Vice President Harris is scheduled to visit the US-Mexico border in Arizona today. During her visit, she aims to highlight the need for increased resources for Border Patrol agents and to prioritize efforts against the flow of fentanyl across the border. This visit coincides with a recent Fox News poll indicating that Harris holds a three-point lead over Trump in the crucial swing state of Georgia.
